I use a walker, wheelchair, or other mobility aid. Will I be able to easily get around?

Absolutely! Belmont House’s campus is fully accessible and meets AODA requirements.

 

How long is your waiting list?

It is difficult to give an exact answer to this question due to everyone having a different desired occupancy year and our limited availability of each apartment style. The best way to know where you are on the wait list is to reach out the Retirement Department Assistant directly at 416-964-9231 ext. 232.

 

Do you offer parking for Retirement Tenants?

We do offer assigned parking spots in an outdoor lot for a monthly fee.

 

Do you have any exercise programs?

A daily exercise class is offered Monday through Friday for all Tenants. You can also book sessions with our qualified physiotherapist for a subsided fee.

Belmont House is located on over an acre of beautiful green space in the heart of Toronto. With many gardens and pathways, getting your daily exercise is easy and fun!

 

What kind of Recreation activities are available?

There is a wide range of recreation activities, special events and outings planned every month for Tenants to participate in. A calendar is disbursed monthly and posters are put up around the home to keep everyone up to date with the upcoming activities.

Some examples are: Book club, poetry club, current events club, 2x weekly live entertainment, trivia, cocktail parties trips to the Stratford festival, museum trips, shopping trips, parties in the gardens, and many more. There is never a dull moment at Belmont House!

 

Am I able to switch lifestyle packages if my needs change?

Absolutely! Your wellbeing is important to us so if you feel you would be better served by a different package, and it is appropriate, we can switch you over anytime!

 

My spouse has been admitted to Long Term Care. Can I move into the retirement home to be closer to them?

We will work with your family to get you reunited as quickly as possible.

 

Can I have a guest stay over in my apartment?

Overnight guest must be signed in at the front desk and any dining room meals they wish to partake in must be purchased at the front desk as well.
