Information Technology Coordinator (IT Coordinator) – Full Time
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Information Management (DFIM), the Information Technology Coordinator (IT Coordinator) delivers information technology (IT) system support services across the organization. This includes monitoring and maintenance of existing systems, researching new technologies, and supporting end users with IT issues and training.

Principle Responsibilities
- In collaboration with third party IT vendor, manage computers, server applications, cloud-based services, cyber security, printers, and portable devices in-person and remotely
- Ensure effective and reliable backups are being performed
- Responsible for computer installs and upgrades
- Ensure devices interconnect seamlessly with file servers, email servers, conferencing systems, and financial systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot firewall, switches, Windows servers
- Maintain inventory of installed software and hardware
- Manage software licensing
- Follow proper procedures for the disposal of electronic assets
- Respond to IT issues and questions from staff and provide user training and orientation on hardware, software, cloud-based services and cyber security
- Create and maintain IT and cyber security documentation procedures, standards, best practices, and instructions
- Participate in annual hardware and software evaluations/reviews for budget purposes
- Participate in long-term IT strategic planning, and identify, select and deploy new technology to support organizational goals and objectives
- Stay abreast of new IT requirements and cyber security initiatives in the Long-term Care Sector
- Assist and answer inquiries from Belmont House stakeholders related to information technology
- Ensure that IT staff are providing satisfactory customer service to residents where appropriate
- Educate employees about cyber security and support them in their use of information technology
- Plan, execute and support sound and cost-effective IT solutions. Assist in the preparation of IT budgets.
- All other duties as assigned by the DFIM
Qualifications
- A technical diploma or degree in computer technology with 2+ years of experience, or 10+ years of equivalent IT experience
- CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ preferred but not required
- ITIL Foundation, or equivalent, preferred but not required
- Microsoft Certification preferred but not required
- Strong technical aptitude to cope with rapidly changing technology, and work productively with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills working with technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization
- Self-directed team player with the ability to thrive in a changing environment and has a desire to help people solve their technology issues
- Ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
- Able to demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive information
- Superior organization and problem-solving skills
- Strong skills supporting the Windows operating system in a domain environment
- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in configuring and managing Apple iOS and Android devices
- Expertise administering Microsoft Windows Server OS
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and managing Group Policy
- Experience working with firewalls, specifically FORTINET
- Strong understanding of Information technology tools and concepts
- Physically fit and able to lift and manipulate server and desktop equipment
- Experience working with networking and VLANS
- Ability to work flexible hours from time to time
